    Welcome message from

    Mark Davey – Chairman

I am looking forward and honoured to be Chairman of UKACC this year.

I recognise the committee members, and value their input to supporting me in making this year a success. It will be a challenge to exceed the previous Chairman’s outstanding achievements.

We have introduced a couple of new events to the UKACC diary, Five A Side Football Tournament & Family BBQ day in June and Windsor Horse Racing/ Rum & Reggie Night in July, complementing the usual key events. The fact is the wheels of industry never stop, which makes it important to find time in our ever busy schedules to share some time with colleagues, suppliers and customers, and from my experience UKACC has always offered a wide range of exciting events for all tastes.

Our goal is to bring in new members and keep the momentum of the UKACC philosophy alive, continue social network events with industry experts under one roof sharing their enthusiasm and drive. Importantly raising money for the Chairman’s chosen charity, which this year is Asthma UK.

I would like to finish by thanking you all for your support last year and really look forward to your support in the year ahead.

Asthma UK exists to support the 5.4 million people in the UK with asthma. Every 10 seconds someone in the UK has a potentially fatal asthma attack. Every single day the lives of three families are devastated by the death of a loved one from asthma. Tragically, the majority of these deaths could be prevented right now with the right basic care. However, others still suffer with asthma so severe that current treatments don’t work. This has to change. That’s why Asthma UK exists.

We work to stop asthma attacks and, ultimately, cure asthma by funding world leading research and scientists, campaigning for change and supporting people with asthma to reduce their risk of a potentially life-threatening asthma attack.
