UKACC – History, Purpose and Current Activities
The United Kingdom Air Cargo Club (UKACC) is one of the longest-established networking and social organisations serving the UK air cargo and freight forwarding industry. Founded in 1962 by senior figures within the air cargo sector, the organisation was created to provide a professional yet social environment where individuals working across the cargo community could build relationships, support industry colleagues and raise money for charitable causes.
The Club’s first Chairman was Dick Haynes of Lufthansa German Airlines, and since its formation UKACC has grown from a small London-based membership group into one of the best-known industry networking organisations within the UK freight and logistics sector.
Today, UKACC continues to operate as a non-profit, volunteer-led organisation focused on bringing together professionals from the air cargo and logistics industry, organising networking and social events, supporting charitable fundraising initiatives, encouraging inclusivity and supporting the next generation of freight and logistics professionals.
