Paul Chinery – Committee Member

Paul joined the aviation industry in 1993 where he joined as a junior night consolidation clerk after a short work experience stint with Danzas. Since then Paul has held many different positions climbing the ranks and he rode the wave of M&A as Danzas went through a lot of change to its current market leading position as DHL Global Forwarding.

Pauls career predominantly grew at DHL as the business itself grew, but he did have a 4 and a half year experience outside DGF at Toll before returning to what Paul believes is one of the best jobs in the industry back at DGF where Paul is currently the VP Airfreight UK responsible for the UK Air product, plus with responsibility for all branch activity located under the roof of the head office building in Hayes which is vast and diverse, plus the UK ground operations including a fleet of over 100 trucks that collect and deliver their airfreight across the UK.

Paul is an avid F1 fan but is not an avid football follow as he says ‘it brings him out in a horrible sweat’. Family and friends are most important to Paul.
