Bob Matharoo | Committee Member

Bob joined the aviation industry in 1986, where he has worked for a combination of industry related companies, cargo agents, handling agents, airlines, GSA and an airport. This diverse background, experience & knowledge gained has assisted him to excel in his endeavours.

Bob has successfully enjoyed working as the Regional Cargo Manager, Europe, CIS, Russia & India for bmi Cargo, where we spend 14 years in a spectrum of positions maturing the business. Commercial Director of Global Airline Services Ltd (GSA), where the business progressed commercially for 6 years. He opened his own consulting company Y2 Solutions Ltd in 2018 providing logistical solutions to all the industry.

Bob is currently working for CargoFirst/ Bournemouth Airport as Head of Cargo,  collaborating with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, including at director and executive director level, developing effective operational and commercial systems and processes to manage and deliver functions for the airport to succeed.

Outside interests, Bob enjoys travelling, playing, watching Football, Golf, and spending quality time with the family.
